A Letter from Eleanor

Scripture

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

— Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

Reflection

There are seasons in life when the path ahead seems hidden from view. We long for certainty, answers, and a clear destination, yet God often asks us to take the next faithful step before revealing what lies farther down the road.

Joshua 1:9 is not a promise that the journey will always be easy. It is a promise that we will never walk it alone. God's presence goes before us, walks beside us, and remains with us through every unexpected turn.

Like an old letter carried safely across many miles, our lives are held securely in the hands of the One who knows both the beginning and the end of the story. Even when we cannot see beyond today's bend in the road, we can trust the One who already stands at tomorrow's destination.

As you pause today, take a slow breath and remember that faith is often found in the quiet act of taking one more step. You do not need to have all the answers. You only need to trust the One who walks with you.

Prayer

Lord, when the road ahead feels uncertain, help me to remember that Your presence is more certain than my circumstances. Give me courage for today's steps, peace for today's worries, and faith to trust You with tomorrow. Amen.
